Developers' Corner
The ECCO simulator is a free, open source software project that I'm engaged in. It is written in java. I'm open to contributions from other developers towards this and other parts of my work, please feel free to contact me about this. The zip file on the download page currently contains what is necessary to run the ECCO model (compiled binaries only). The source code for the ECCO simulator and everything else I do are bundled up here. I've developed lots of bits and pieces using java over the years, many of which rely on common utility classes. Hence to avoid code-forking and unnecessary maintenance, when you download the source for the ECCo simulator, you also get several other graphics-oriented simulators, file-management utilities, the beginnings of a file-system and network manager tool, and other trivia. Take what you want and leave he rest! At present, there are only the zip files. I will try to get some mailing lists together if others become involved in my projects, but in the meantime, mail me direct if you like what I'm doing. I use a number of other shared libraries by other free software developers, you may need some or all of these to follow what I'm doing. See the main package description page.
